Vincent Dampt
I joined the family estate here in Milly during 2002. My family has been managing the estate for four generations in this small sunny hamlet which is part of Chablis.
In 2003 I decide to create my own estate as well, mainly on the Milly terroirs right in the centre of the appellation.
My wife Émilie joined me in 2008 and our winery gradually expanded to reach the eight hectares we now manage.
As I learnt more and more during my various experiences in Burgundy with Olivier Leflaive and others, as well as the time I spent in the Marlborough region of New Zealand, I came to fully appreciate the finesse and typical minerality of the Chablis wines I love so much.
We are careful and attentive in our vineyards. We plough, apply natural fertilisers and manage threats to our vines with the utmost sensitivity. We are currently in the process of transitioning to HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale - https://hve-asso.com/) certification, which solidifies our move towards greener estate management.
I make a point of vinifying each terroir separately and in stainless steel tanks to bring out each wine's full potential, focusing on fruit and terroir.
Émilie and I produce precise wines that represent the Chablis terroir:
- Petit Chablis AOC
- Chablis AOC
- Chablis 1er Cru "Vaillons" AOC
- chablis 1er Cru "Côte de Léchet" AOC
